Dermabrasion is the process of creating new tissue by abrading the superficial layers of the skin using surgical techniques. In the dermabrasion application, which is also described as mechanical peeling, the bumps or depressions on the skin surface are also removed and a smoother surface is obtained by sanding the skin.
The skin layer in the human body is divided into upper skin (epidermis) and lower skin (dermis). Dermabrasion is an application performed for the upper skin layer, namely the epidermis.
Dermabrasion is applied by controlled peeling of the skin by means of a special motor with a diamond on the tip. In this process, the upper skin layer in the face area is sanded very thinly and a more flawless and smooth skin surface is obtained.
Dermabrasion application can be applied to the entire face area or only to a certain part that is seen as problematic. This process, which is effective against pit areas and acne spots caused by acne, is also used to remove scars on the face due to various accidents, wrinkles that occur due to aging, especially around the mouth, and other scars due to acne.
As a result of dermabrasion, the pits of acne scars will decrease and the skin will become smoother. However, it is not possible to erase or lose all traces.
